AFCAT Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for AFCAT 1 2024, candidates must meet the following criteria:
For Flying Branch:
- Age: Candidates must be between 20 and 24 years of age as on 01 July 2024.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects from a recognized board or university. They must also have a valid CPL (Commercial Pilot License) with an Instrument Rating.
For Ground Duty (Technical Branch):
- Age: Candidates must be between 20 and 26 years of age as on 01 July 2024.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed BE/B.Tech with Aeronautical Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Computer Science Engineering/Information Technology from a recognized university or institute.
For Ground Duty (Non-Technical Branch):
- Age: Candidates must be between 20 and 26 years of age as on 01 July 2024.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Bachelor’s Degree (Three Years) in any discipline from a recognized university or institute.
AFCAT 2023 Selection Process
The selection process for AFCAT 1 2023-24 consists of the following stages:
- Online Application: Candidates must submit their online applications through the official website of IAF.
- Written Exam: The written exam consists of two papers: Paper 1 (General Studies and English) and Paper 2 (Numerical Ability and Mental Aptitude).
